Why Ritam exists
The more systems we use, the less understood we become.
Every year, the tools around us get smarter. And every year, they know us a little less.
You explain yourself to a new assistant. It helps, brilliantly, then forgets. You switch to another and start again. Your language becomes the one the machine prefers. Your context sits on a server you have never seen, and the bill arrives anyway.
We think this is backwards.
Ritam takes its name from ṛta — the idea that things work best when they move in the right order, together. Memory that belongs to the person. Language that stays native. Reasoning that can be seen and questioned. Intelligence that lives close to you, not far away from you.
Those are not features. They are the order we are building in, and the order we hold ourselves to.
We are early. We would rather say less and show more. These notes are where we will do that, one honest step at a time.
